40 in x 30 in: Digital Photography, on Aluminum (Original)

This collection by J-Art, who has embraced the role

of Champagne Ambassador from a young age,

seeks to encapsulate the essence of a champagne

tasting experience through a dynamic neo-pop

style. With bold splashes of color and texture, the

artwork evokes the vibrancy, effervescence, and

sophistication of champagne, inviting the viewer to

not just see but almost taste and develop senses.

J-Art masterfully blends abstract expression with a

pop art aesthetic, turning iconic bottles into a

centerpiece that bursts with energy and emotion.

He created this artwork by painting both a canvas

and a champagne bottle using acrylics and spray

paint. He then photographed each element

separately and digitally merged them, resulting in a

striking composition that gives the impression of a

3D effect. This technique adds depth and

dimension, making the bottle appear to emerge

from the abstract background, enhancing the

immersive experience of the piece.

About the Artist:

Born in Champagne, France, Jean-Remi Barbier moved to Canada for his studies before arriving in New York in 2015. Immersed in the city's rich and diverse art scene, Barbier adopted the alias J-Art for his artistic endeavors. Drawing inspiration from the streets of Manhattan and the roads of the East End, J-Art is fascinated by skulls and delves into the vanitas style of still-life painting, often incorporating skull imagery to reflect modern consumer society.

Embodying the role of Champagne Ambassador since his youngest age, J-Art wanted to recreate the tasting experience though a neo-pop style.  While J-Art prefers working on canvas, much of his recent work also involves collages on paper, showcasing vibrant and thought-provoking pieces inspired by the essence of the Hamptons.
